New Feature: multi-page menus
Hi!I’d like to suggest a feature: multi-page menus.Right now, if a Radial menu has more actions than can fit into one ring, the main options are sub-menus or separate menus. But sometimes those don’t feel like the right structure. I don’t want to create a nested menu, and I don’t want to split one app/context into multiple separate menus. I want one menu to have several pages.Example:Spotify menu:- Page 1: main controls- Page 2: playlists- Page 3: audio/output actionsPhotoshop Radial MenuPage 1: Core Tools- Move Tool- Brush- Eraser- Selection Tool- Crop- Text Tool- Hand Tool- ZoomSwipe left →Page 2: Layers- New Layer- Duplicate Layer- Merge Layers- Group Layers- Hide/Show Layer- Lock Layer- Rasterize Layer- Create Clipping MaskSwipe left →Page 3: Adjustments- Levels- Curves- Hue/Saturation- Brightness/Contrast- Color Balance- Black & White- Camera Raw Filter- InvertThe key part: while the Radial menu is open, users could swipe left/right with two fingers on the trackpad to switch between pages, similar to swiping between pages/spaces in macOS.Suggested behavior:- One menu can contain Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, etc.- Each page has its own 9 radial slots.- Two-finger swipe left/right switches pages while the menu stays open.- Small dots or page numbers could show the current page.- Optional: pages could have names like Main, Playback, Tools, Advanced.- This should work for Global, App-Contextual, and Custom menus. Why this matters:- It keeps one app/context as one menu instead of splitting it into many separate menus.- It avoids unnecessary nesting when sub-menus are too heavy.- It feels natural on a Mac trackpad.- It makes Radial much more scalable for apps with many actions. This would be especially useful for app-specific menus like Spotify, Finder, IINA, Photoshop, browsers, etc. Thanks!
